Teepee

This modern canvas recreation of classic, timeless Native American designs is nestled in hidden clearings on a bluff overlooking the lake and wetlands. For our Native American friends the tipi was durable, provided warmth and comfort in the winter, was cool in the heat of summer, and stayed dry during heavy rains. For us on the other hand, none of the above is true.

Ticket options:

Room 1 Single Cot #1 in a shared space ($1575/person in a shared space)

Room 1 Single Cot #2 in a shared space ($1575/person in a shared space)

Boy Scout Tents

This little collection of three Boy Scouts of America platform tents is the same design that our scouts have relied on for decades as they’ve kept themselves physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. Our first batch of tents was retired from a camp just outside Janesville, Wisconsin: Camp Indian Trails of the Glacier’s Edge Council, nestled on the shores of the slow but mighty Rock River. While those have moved on to Scout Tent heaven, we have replaced them with the same classic design, and they’re equipped with World War II surplus cots, camp-grade folding stools, lanterns and flashlights.

These classic tents are huddled around a campfire pit, adjacent to an old picnic table, situated on a bluff, overlooking the wetlands of Lake Wandawega.

Ticket options:

Boyscout Tent #1 Single Cot #1 in a shared space ($1575/person in a shared space)

Boyscout Tent #1 Single Cot #2 in a shared space ($1575/person in a shared space)

Boyscout Tent #3 Single Cot #2 in a shared space ($1575/person in a shared space)

Sterlingworth Cabin

The original Sterlingworth Hotel was a grand structure with a nearby collection of small cabins, overlooking Mill Lake, on Lauderdale Lakes. While the main hotel was demolished, rebuilt, then ravaged by fire, this single cabin miraculously survived the years.

Fast forward to 2012. Tereasa sees this cabin countless times while driving down the highway. One day, she finally pulls over. A handshake deal and five hundred bucks later, we’re back with the trusty flatbed trailer to bring it to Camp Wandawega. Once perched on it’s new home, we rip out the musty carpet, the drop ceiling, and gut it to the joists. A proper cleaning and a new roof to keep the water out—it’s the perfect artist’s retreat.

Ticket options:

Room 1 Single Cot #1 in a shared space ($1775/person in a shared space)

Room 1 Single Cot #2 in a shared space ($1775/person in a shared space)

Please note that accommodations in the tents, A-Frame, and teepees are being provided gratis by Camp Wandawega. Your event fee reflects no charge to stay in those spots, but it still covers all other aspects of the event (registration fee, meals, swag bag, etc.) What should you bring to make your stay in a tent more comfortable? For starters, the camp basics: Some Deep Woods Off. A lantern or flashlight. And, if you have a favorite sleeping bag and pillow, bring them too. While the tents come equipped with basic bedding, it's probably not nearly as nice as your fancy sleeping bag : ) And last but not least, please review this link to Camp Wandawega's "Mother Nature Can be a Mother F@c#$% pamphlet. We're not trying to scare you away. We just need you to know this is 'real' camping, not 'glamping'."

Special thanks to Camp Wandawega for providing the venue to us at a deeply discounted rate, to enable us make this gathering possible!
